Another new technology feature involving the utilization of free Artificial Intelligence for legal professionals.
The Chatbot “Claude” introduced by the Anthropic company is expected to revolutionize the business sector. Unlike Chat GPT, Claude has been trained to adhere to best practices for AI implementation and possesses advanced abilities in mathematics, programming, reading, and writing.
With a vast knowledge base updated annually, it assists in diverse tasks, from simple answers to complex analyses and programming with a lot of precision and ethical sense.
And, of course, for the law, the more ethical and accurate, without divaging by inventive answers, the more tranquility the lawyer will have in the revision of the texts.
The Ethics at Claude
By creating Claude, Anthropic was concerned about emphasizing ethical principles. Thus, answers prioritize useful and honest interactions.
Its ability to adapt communication style makes conversations more natural and personalized.
Of course, this ethical point carries with it limitations. Some of them are: Do not access the internet in real time, do not learn from individual interactions and do not perform physical actions.
But believe me, this assistant represents a significant breakthrough in AI, demonstrating how technology can complement human skills with the commitment to maintain integrity and efficiency in responses.
How to Use?
First, to access Claude it is necessary to fill your phone number so that a token code is sent. When entering the token, the access will be released.
It is important to clarify that Claude’s Chatbot already existed since March 2023, but is now able to communicate in Brazilian Portuguese with users.
However, this process is not automatic, it is necessary for the user to ask Chat in the typing field he talks in Portuguese-BR
Note that after the first uses, the chat memorizes your name and already gives suggestions to talk in Portuguese.

Best use practices:
- Ask clear questions, contextualizing and being specific about what you want.
- Use direct commands. Ex: When asking for a summary of a text with facilitated reading, be clear and specific – “Resume this text with short paragraphs and transforming the sentences to the direct order, aiming to facilitate the understanding of the reader” – remember that the more detailed the request, the better the quality of the answer.
- Try different formulations when the answers are not satisfactory.
About Claude’s database
To keep the security of his answers, Claude does not update his own knowledge base.
Thus, the knowledge base is fixed and was established during its training, completed in April 2024. Therefore, it has no ability to learn or incorporate new information on its own.
The updates of Claude’s knowledge occur through new training by Anthropic. To have an idea, this process involves:
- The collection of new data and information
- Settings in the language model
- Extensive tests
- The implementation of the updated version
So it doesn’t happen in real time or during Claude’s conversations. Each version of it has a fixed knowledge base.
Therefore, for very recent or constantly changing information, Claude always recommends that users check up-to-date sources.
His role is more of assisting with information processing and analysis, not of being a primary source of real-time news or data.

Why is Claude seen as “more ethical” than GPT?
The perception that Claude is more ethical may be related to the emphasis that Anthropic puts on safety and risk mitigation in AI.
Understand that Anthropic was founded in order to create artificial intelligence that is aligned with human values, prioritizing ethics and security in all interactions;
Their focus is:
- Security, with stricter filters to prevent inappropriate or dangerous content generation. Thus, it is possible to expect more cautious and conservative answers
- Faithfully follow your training with a set of data and risk mitigation techniques more focused on avoiding bias and making ethically sound decisions. Anthropic can also implement methods that seek to reduce vieses and strengthen justice in Claude’s responses.
Conclusion:
With so many trainings, Claude can be more accurate in his answers, but his data is outdated to discuss recent facts, since it has no open access to the internet.
Meanwhile, ChatGPT is always updating by having internet access with the latest web information. However, the triggered sources may not be the most reliable, generating inventive responses and dubious reliability.
Despite these differences, both Chat GPT and Claude seek to be responsible and useful, but with different approaches in terms of balance between utility and precaution. The most important thing is to know how to operate and filter the information received.
What we can emphasize is that it is worth testing both language models and seeking the most ethical to analyze documents, texts and facts objectively and the most creative to seek the text alignment to the desired tone.
